LULA Restaurant & Distillery, New Orleans

The Good :

Roomy and modern atmosphere.  Unlimited vodka bar on the weekends for $20.  Good service.  Pork Skewers are amazing.

The Bad :

My chicken sandwich was greasier than expected.  I wouldn’t get it again.

Pop into Lula on a weekend and expect to find this hand-crafted and distilled drink maker to be bustling with activity. Today’s crowd was mostly 20-something college or young professionals who appeared to be taking advantage of the $20 unlimited vodka bar. (That’s right..I said unlimited!!). A large dining room, outside seating and giant windows showing the distillery make this an open and comfortable space even when it is crowded. Check out the video to see what I thought about each of the 3 dishes mentioned. Overall a good experience and I would do it again.

Dishes Tried.

  • Fried Chicken Sandwich

Crispy friend chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, molasses fig sauce served with fries. $12

  • Grilled Skirt Steak

8 oz. Grilled skirt steak, eggs and potatoes. $17

  • Bloody Marry

Bloody marry made with house vodka. $8
