Juan's Flying Burrito, New Orleans
The Good :
The pork and slaw taco is outstanding. The pork is juicy and flavorful. The chips and queso are flavorful and enough for two.
The Bad :
The restroom could be cleaner. And thats a big one for me. 🙁
Juan’s is next to a couple other favorites of mine on Magazine Street. It’s a slim space with a more roomy dining area in the back. I prefer to sit in the back because I don’t like a crowded space. The service is friendly and accommodating. Especially since I moved tables due to being in the sun. (What can I say…I don’t like being in the sun).
Today I’m trying to queso and chips. This combination of queso and cream has a nice hint of spice in the background as you eat the chips. The chips are fresh and warm. An online favorite.
Then I head over to my trusty favorite the Pork and Slaw Taco. I love the pork in this taco because it is so juicy, flavorful and seems like they must have smoked and cooked the pork for about a week. It is juicy and delicious ….did they deliver this time?
Lastly, at the recommendation of the restaurant, I try the Pineapple Chicken Tacos. A favorite among locals. Sweet and savory…pineapple? Tune in to see how it worked out.
The restroom was kind of a mess on this visit. I’ve not been in there before so I don’t know that this is the norm but I can only go by what I see.
